Batman knows martial arts and has a utility belt. Taking away Batman's fighting ability and utility belt would be the equivalent of taking away Spiderman's webs and his spidey-sense. No one in the world could ever have a "Batman vs. _____" character debate if we went with the "he'll figure out how to win" theory because then the whole debate is just loaded from the start.
Take this ridiculous statement, for example: "Batman could defeat The Living Tribunal and The Spectre because he'll find a way to win." It's a loaded statement because I'm shutting the door on any room for debate. You have to remove that nonsense when debating characters.
