Not when how they "feel about it" is taking away the rights of people.
You could say the same thing about anything if you take that far enough.
The supreme court ruled that you could not yell fire in a crowded room, thus creating precedence that the government is allowed to take away rights of the people in certain instances. The government takes away my right to have money when they tax me. Rights are curtailed all the time.
As I stated, I would have voted no on this, but I respect North Carolina's ability to use its government to decide the issue.
