All of you defending Majora's Mask either have some very irrational love for it, actually enjoy the idea that a free-roaming adventure game puts you on the clock and that you have to do specific things at exact specific moments, or have found Zeldas since even more lacking
...Oh. Well, here I thought the three-day system allowed it to do some things that no Zelda, and very few, if any, games had done before. And that I liked it because the sidequests were leagues beyond the others and the NPCs felt more like actual characters than just completely irrelevant placeholders. However, it seems this must be in error!
The only Zelda I've played that I'd consider taking over MM is Speed-run!OoT. But that's not exactly a fair comparison. OoT becomes a phenomenally better game when you speed run it, and the same might be true for MM, I simply have never tried it.
