So, going back to gut check for a second. I've got a couple suggestions. If they want to be "real" they should go all the way and make it even more real.
1. In a REAL competition like this, you wouldn't have the guys compete against opponents of wildly different skill levels. The gut check guys should face the same guy each week. Preferably an experienced veteran. This would be a great role for Devon if he didn't have the TV title.
2. That guy should be one of the judges, so he can comment on their in-ring performance.
It sounds like you're trying to take it in a more proper kayfabe direction, which is totally not what TNA is going for here.
They're trying to present it as REALLY real, as in "not fake like the rest of the show is fake" like Tough Enough, except that in reality (REALITY reality) it's still a work.
Lopen disagrees and thinks that Gut Check as it exists now still entirely exists within the regular kayfabe and doesn't expose the business at all, and maybe you do too, but I just cannot accept that personally.
