Going back to that WWE.com list, the one thing that stuck out to me beyond belief is that anything WWE-authorized would actually rank Jericho above Cena in any category, let alone promo skill.

Amusing except from an interview with Nasty Boy Jerry Sags

On a shoot incident involving Scott Hall and Kevin Nash: "The guy I punched in the mouth was pretty powerful in the company, my old buddy Scott Hall, I wish I could take that punch back a million times. Hall and Nash came in, I didn't know Kevin that much…he became friends with friends of mine, Shawn, Triple H and Scott…Scott was different when he came down to WCW. I don't know if it was chemically altered.

"Everyone changes when they come out of that pressure cooker in WWF. It's stressful, some of the guys turn into backstabbers, some guys deal with the pressure in different ways. We were doing a thing…I felt this blow to the back of my skull, it knocked me out, I had a concussion, the whole nine yards. I was mad about it, almost the kind of thing I was gonna fight him then, but I let it go.

"JJ Dillon called me and said, we just need you to make the rest of these bookings, you're on the marquee. So we get into the match, I tried to stay out as much as I could, it got all screwed up because Six Pac was supposed to run down and do something, but he never showed up. Suddenly, I didn't know what hit me, I went down, I'm seeing stars.

"I feeling like there was a cut on the back of my neck, but I'm feeling back there and there's no cut. I look around and I didn't know who hit me from behind, I see Scott with a chair and he throws it in my face. I go that's it, I walked in the ring and just started hitting him with punches, knocked him out. It just happened like that, I didn't wanna fight him, it just happened.

"Something was building up there from the first time he hit me, then it happened again…. I hear this noise from the shower, Kevin Nash came in the locker room with a bat and was smashing above Knobbs head with a bat and was saying "we'll see who has the stroke in this company…that was pretty much him telling us we were getting fired. At the time they were practically booking, and I've just knocked the bookers teeth down his throat. When we watched the tape back, we see Oh my god! It wasn't Scott with the chair, It was Kevin Nash with the tag belt."

I am heavily amused by the fact that such a goofy wrestling trope actually works in real life.

I liked it but I felt they were skirting a little too close to late WCW Russo "THIS IS A SHOOT" territory.

Not so much that I felt it ruined the segment but enough to make me worried that it would.

Yeah it skirted it, but i felt like it actually treated kayfabe with respect. Like giving us a backstage look at how the show is SUPPOSED To work. Like they have it scheduled for Hogan to start the show by announcing his decision etc, but instead they did this.

It felt raw and....real for lack of a better word.

It does kind of amuse me that SD begins with roughly the same sort of dilemma and on that show they actually WRESTLE to see who gets the shot.

I will give TNA a pass there though because the quest to stop Roode from breaking the record was extremely time-sensitive and they'd rather have someone fresh fight him than someone on match #2 of the night.

I think they should split up Gut Check and Open Fight Night. I'd rather those things be spread out to different shows each month.

Plus the actual Open Fight Night concept of Open Fight Night has been pretty weak so far. In two editions, nothing genuinely interesting has come from the "You must answer any challenge" deal. Everything except Borash challenging Bischoff has just been a regular match that would have normally been booked otherwise, and Borash challenging Bischoff was definitely not interesting.

I'm all for trying new things, but they should, you know, actually TRY a new thing instead of just renaming the old thing. It's a prime example of "lipstick on a pig."

BY LAW Hogan would have to accept.

They used 3 challenges IIRC. Kim/Rayne challenged ODB/EY, RVD challenged Gunner, and for his mandatory title defense, Devon challenged Bischoff Jr for eliminating him last week.

But again, ALL of those are logical matches that would regularly be booked anyway, since they all logically follow from established events. TO TNA'S CREDIT they logically make sense, but still it doesn't make the OFN stipulation night worth it.

Probably because, as you said, the other two are completely logical. Kim/Rayne was logical too but kinda like "why have this match instead of a few others"

I was a little confused as to why RVD's thirst for vengeance for being put on the shelf for months was satisfied by pinning Gunner for a 3-count in a standard match, but I guess that's a credit to RVD's zen.

Rob Van Dam "Good Role Model"- hilarious

Haha Joseph Park is just AT the show. That rocks.

It seems that every heel in TNA has memory loss. They keep asking if we know who they are.

Hah, Joey Ryan is a jobber on my TEW diary roster. I dont think ive ever actually used him.

He looks like a classic porn-stache jobber. If only he were wearing sweatpants id half expect The Mountie to Squash the hell out of him.

Uh-oh Bobby kissed the title thats a bad sign. AJ, huh. Well that makes sense. ZERO COUNT. AJs selling that arm pretty well. ...Have they always called that the Double R Spinebuster, thats awesome! The booking here has been pretty good given these twos familiarity with each other lots of counters, very cool. Actually the booking here in general rocked, even the way Styles lost, by selling paranoia over the way Daniels and Kazarian have been harassing him. Just magnifico. Definitely a new free MotY contender.

You know the way this Roode/Anderson/Angle/Hardy/Bully Ray/Storm/Sting/AJ with cameos from Aries/Daniels/RVD thing is being booked kinda gives me WM-13 era WWF feel to it, except Michaels (Roode) didnt vacate the title or attitude era WWF where Austin rock show foley mick and taker were all portrayed as so even. The entire HW division is being portrayed pretty 50/50 and its creating a really fun jam-up at the top of the company with Bobby just constantly out-lucking and out-smarting them all. Its pretty fun to watch.

And, Sting huh? Well it makes sense. Sting is one of Bobbys two main protagonists for this reign, its just uh didnt that match not sell Victory Road very well? I hope for that reason alone they have something else in store.

Jericho suspended for "thirty days."

That's... peculiar. It leaves them really hurting for main event heels, and I figured Jericho would be all but gone next month anyway. So that would make his final act on TV beating up Orton and having a sort of breakdown over being the Best in the World.
