Knight is a bad class except for the situationally useful breaks.
But seriously get the breaks, at least speed and power if not magic too. Breaks are really good, especially if you plan to steal from certain people or JP farm a class up (You could JP farm everyone up on every class every battle even against trash and have ultimate classes pretty early against random trash fights, anyway, but breaks make that much significantly easier.
Breaks are also useful for disabling one guy while waiting for others to poof into crystals or chests. Never neglect the ability to collect crystals from humans because especially early you can steal a lot of useful skills.
