I don't give a f*** about "the market". I care about myself and my own enjoyment, and my ability to play the full games without paying 2-3 times the price of a game in order to do so. I don't wanna feel screwed because some "genius" in a high position thought of a "brilliant idea" to stop piracy which only increased it and made me feel like an idiot for actually paying for the game and then getting less enjoyment out of it than pirates. I don't wanna buy a game only to find out it was 1/3 of the game and I gotta pay additionally to get the rest. I don't wanna have to spend more money to "unlock" stuff that was already on the disc I already bought.
I think you're mistaking "capitalism", a main point of which is looking out for your own best interest, which is what I'm doing, with plain masochism, which looking out for corporations' best interest would be for a straight-headed customer.
