How is, say, reading an article on a website for 3 minutes and different from reading/posting on a message board for 3 minutes? You're being just as unproductive either way.
Basically, what "non-essential websites" do you find appropriate at work?
I have Pandora Radio, a Fantasy Baseball/Football league page as applicable, and during contest season the GameFAQs Contest update site open. Nothing else with any regularity.
None of these require any reading, and more importantly, none of them require text input from me.
I will fully acknowledge that sometimes the Fantasy Baseball/Football league page distracts me a bit more than the ideal amount if I randomly get the urge to look at a free agent or something, but yeah, that's rare, and acceptable. Posting on a message board regularly throughout the day like SBell does is an entirely different animal.
