Not that I know of, but did you have much trouble getting it to run? Using Applocale just gave me a different error message, so I had to change Window's non-Unicode Region setting to Japanese. Any idea if there's a less drastic solution?
I had to do the same, It wasn't that big a bother though so I didn't really mind.
There is no easier method as far as I'm aware though.
