He doesn't have to activate his Geass and his mech is a vastly improved version of Gawain. I certainly wouldn't say Nightmare of Nunally Lelouch was stronger.
I say NoN Lelouch's Geass Armor is better than CG Lelouch's Geass. I would say that CG Lelouch may have a more interesting Geass power, though.
