they don't plasmas below a certain size (42" I think). If you want to go bigger, and want to stay away from Plasma, then you have to dish out some bucks for a LED.

There are some other factors you might want to look into too. LCDs often suffer from angle problems (like what happens if you view your laptop screen at a weird angle) this has gotten less prevalent over time, but it's worth checking into. Plamsa's have also been traditionally better at handling blacks.

Plasmas will have less motion blur simply because the refresh rate is so high. However, if you have a 240LCD, or even a 120, it's not easy to notice.

Also, while getting like a 1080p 32" might be tempting, it's not really worth it. The screen is too small to really make a difference in 720 versus 1080. While there are factors like how far you are from the TV, and the brand, etc, often times you would have to guess in a blind test.
