Bah, kept getting distracted and never actually made a writeup for Asuna. Anyway, I'm quite sure I recall the exact opposite of the current consensus being argued the last time Kizaru faced an FSN character. His supporters claimed his attacks were magic, and could thus bypass the immunity to mundane damage.
"magic" has very different definitions for Negima and F/SN though. I don't consider them magical like Negima would. However in a F/SN context I would consider them 'magical enough' to work on servants.
