Not really. It could mean they misremembered something or they're possibly exaggerating how bad the system is, whether they're doing it consciously or not.
But either way, the Element System sucks, and that's the important thing.
The Element System requiring back-asswards trapping sucked. The rest of it didn't tbh. If you want to argue the former I'll give you that, but not really the latter.
