instead of having to find a ton of crafting materials, most of them can be bought in shops (the big one's not until the end of the game though).
Although there's 4 different blacksmiths now instead of 2 and each one specializes in different elements. LIke one only does standard weapons, divine weapons and raw weapons while another does magic weapons and another does fire and chaos weapons etc
progression of weapons and armor is get it to +5 with normal crafting, then you take it to the blacksmith the element you want to ascend it to, then you just continue to max it out with the crafting items. All of them just go to +10 except for standard weapons, which go to +15. Unique Weapons and Dragon Weapons just go to +5 and that's it
