the constructive criticism i've seen you give is lobbing keywords like Alpha/Beta around and wondering why people get upset at being labeled a Beta male.
if you said something like "you need to have more self-confidence" you'd be saying the same thing but people would react differently.
Ulti likes to rag on users like maplejet who clearly have enough problems of their own rather than actually give them constructive criticism.
if "being coddled" means growing up in stable, supportive environments then yes, i'd say we are increasingly in that category. If you yourself haven't, then I'm sorry, but trying to pass it off as a bad thing somehow doesn't make sense.
note that stable =/= overprotective. That's a different issue entirely.
