The circumstances in which the criticism is given are important here.
If I were to ask realo how I could improve myself and he'd tell me to stop being a beta male, it'd be pretty stupid if I'd go "get lost you're wrong." I know who realo is and I'm asking him for advice, so yeah.
However, when realo starts telling me how I'm a flawed beta male and need to improve myself without me ever asking for his "constructive criticism," then yeah, I think it's alright for me to dismiss his opinions.
