Man, listening to Aggrieve Remix (for the first time of course) right now. This song fluctuates between okay and utterly painful.
Also, if there's one song that should NOT be listened to until after it is encountered in the series proper, it's Black Hole, Green Sun. It's a great song, but not only is it not as good on its own, it kicking in is such an amazing moment in Cascade that having heard it before would spoil that slightly.
I feel the same way with the rest of Cascade except Flare (which is just weak). It was a 'HOLY ****' moment for me when I heard Savior of the Dreaming Dead, but I can only imagine how someone who HASN'T heard it before would feel upon reaching the flash.
