Well this is quite wrong.
Wii-U early dev kits were locked and were about 50% more powerful than the PS3 and 360. The reason it was locked and no official specs were ever released was so Nintendo could change what they felt they needed to change. It's exactly why the outcry of having only one controller at a time made them rethink what they were doing and then come out saying that 2 controllers is a possibility and they plan to have working as such.
Devs reportedly got full kits months later but no specs were ever released. No one really knows what to expect from the Wii-U in terms of its full power. Just rumors and hearsay, but if early indications are anything the highest power difference we can expect to see is Dreamcast to Xbox, and even that is huge stretch. Considering not just Nintendo but Sony and Xbox will also seem to be trying to capture the casual crowd whether that be with Kinect type stuff, or pricing of their consoles.
$350-$400 his what I honestly expect the price to be at for the Wii-U, and it'll probably release shortly after E3(sometime in Q3, or around the time Darksiders 2 is released).
