S2 Episode 6: Pony Plague
Silly CMC...everything you try fails. Like Charlie Brown kicking a football. Only with slightly more hope. On a tangential note, I would hate to be the pony that was good at nothing and had a blank cutie mark...
So...bowling. Ponies bowl. Which makes a kind of sense. Can't play football...or basketball...or baseball...or hockey...or golf...or tennis...
Soccer would work fantastically, but the show has a primarily USA audience, so that is out. Boxing would work too, but lol violence...couldn't have that (until 2015 when bronies become the main demographic...all of a sudden giant robots and swords (mounted on heads) and blood and death raining down on Ponyland as a rival nation invades.
....oh hey, there was some kind of cutie mark episode here.
*theme song* (just now noticed the train in the background that wasn't there season 1..lol derpy. also CMC. I had been stunned most by the audio changes)
Aaand Zecora...completely fits here. Applesomething was the first one to be her friend...perhaps she will be able to help with the cutie mark.
AND WHY CAN ZECORA RHYME ABOUT SOMETHING SHE HAD NO FOREKNOWLEDGE ABOUT? "What has happened to you...youth? Ah you've gone and chipped your tooth!". Like...any other problem Zecora's speech pattern would have been at a loss. "Ah, you've gone and bit your tongue....um...forsooth!"
...I want a pony dentist.

And now I HOPE it is a dream because PHYSICS DO NOT WORK LIKE THAT YOU STOP HOOPING THIS INSTANT APPLE BLOOM YOUR TAIL IS NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO...TO...wow, a pony listened to me. Nonconsensually, but still.
Apparently class is suspended too. I like how no cutie mark is about the same as having two. Pony society would be thrown into chaos if such a delicate balance were ever tipped. Such is the control Celestia has over them all.
...they are reeeeeeeeeally hyping this cutie thing up though. Like, if Apple Bloom and Twilight Sparkle were to get into a fight right this instance, AB would win with both plates tied behind her back.. (And right when I unpaused AB threeeeew the hoop at TS and would have been a killing blow if it wanted to be...scary)
Third cutie mark that will tip off everypony that something is up in 5....4.....3....2....1....

But no, the only pony that could help is a zebra (i can only conclude that pony as a form of address is racist given this zebra exclusion, akin to going "fellow white people"). What can Zecora do that magic can't? Is she even tied to the cutie mark rules being a not pony? What does her cutie mark even mean (assuming it isn't a tattoo for the sake of fitting in)? That she is good at tribal stuff? Kiiiiiinda racist.
I see the show is experiencing an exponential rise in cutie mark...
DAMNIT....THIS WAS TWILIGHT SPARKLE'S JOB. STOP OUTSOURCING MAIN PONY, SHOW. ;_;
Good episode though...but perhaps raises more questions than answers regarding cutie marks. Such a tease though...if I were a fan of the CMC I would be ripping my hair out wondering when and what their marks would be.
