I don't mind big name games getting high scores as much because big name games are usually actually good. The chances of a high-release game being good are a lot better than the chances of a high-budget movie being good, I think.
Of course, anything that isn't a high-budget hyped release is basically guaranteed lesser scores, which is I think a bigger issue.
