Everything they're talking about, I've already figured out and believed for a while now. Scores mean nothing, they are promotional tools. It's been like that ever since movie ratings come out.
But I don't think it's bad, because the way most game review sites work is that they type a whole bunch of text that explains what the game does and what it doesn't, and then they attach some arbitrary score at the end. If you just ignore the score, you have this great description of the game from which to make a decision. Of course, some places *cough*gamespot*cough* suck at doing these objective descriptions, but other places are great at it.
If I'm reading a review of Dynasty Warriors 7, all I need to read is "it's better than DW5". I don't care if DW5 is a 5/10 and DW7 is a 6/10.
