What the hell does that have to with Fast Travel?
That just shows laziness on the developers, but not because they inserted Fast Travel. That's like saying adding horses forced them to drop Spears.
The thought is that because they put in Fast Travel they figured people would just use it so they don't need to spend as much time or effort on roadside stuff since people won't see it if they use Fast Travel.
