Little Baby Ocelot
I don't know why I call him that. I have ever since my first playthrough of the game (which you can find at the bottom of my b8wiki). I thought it was funny. He's just so young. Even so, he's more awesome than he is later on, when he's all old and wrinkly. It probably has something to do with my mancrush for Josh Keaton. Anyway, this fight is pretty fun. It's straightforward, point and shoot until he's dead. You also don't have many weapons at this point, so you're pretty limited. But you can shoot down beehives, shoot a deer, shoot his hat off, initiate a duel, just a bunch of little things you can do to distract him. It's p. cool.
Shagohod
Starts with a chase sequence of EVA driving a motorcycle with Snake in the sidecar, sporting some supernatural balance. This isn't actually part of the boss fight, but you can still damage the Shagohod here, making it a bit lower on life in the actual fight. After you destroy the bridge, you get the first part of the boss fight. It's pretty fun, and really easy. Just shoot the tread, then shoot the weak spot, and repeat until finish. Then you fight Volgin on top of the Shagohod, this time without infinite ammo and the safety of the motorcycle sidecar. Still easy. Volgin doesn't take much to kill, you just have to shoot the treads again and make sure to hit Volgin in the head, preferably with a sniper rifle, and it only takes about four shots. Still pretty fun!
The Pain
BEEEEEEEEEEEES! You'd think this dude would just ambush Snake in the area before the pool, where it was just a closed in cave. Easy win. Luckily he's not smart. So we have a bunch of water to protect ourselves from the DEADLY DEADLY BEES. I still honestly enjoy this fight. It's simple, and there isn't much to do, but the straightforwardness of it is.... charming? I guess. Not exactly sure. I just find The Pain's over the top personality to be amusing, and the simplicity of it isn't really a bad thing. Not in my opinion anyway.
