I was just thinking about the little touches I love about this game, the things that aren't really overtly stated or shown, but they're just presented so well.
Like at the end of the game after the EVA escort mission and you reach the lake, and Naked Snake just sort of turns and looks at the flower field. Then EVA turns and sees him, and he looks back at her. It's difficult to describe with just words, but just the emotion that's displayed without either of them saying anything is great. The stuff between Naked Snake and The Boss is just so emotionally charged. I love it.
MGS3's presentation is just so good in general. I love the part right after The Sorrow "fight" where Snake washes ashore in the forest, and he rises up on his knees and the camera just slowly pans back to show the forest.

Just Just finished not too long ago. I was confused when people talked about The Boss dying being tearjerking, but I honestly didn't think it was much more powerful than a lot of famous character deaths. Then I got to the actual ending.

Metal Gear Sigint is a close 2nd, but nothing beats the hilarity of The Boss shooting Snake with a nuke at point blank range. Snake's "You've lost it!" followed by his scream makes that one.

I'm sad that I never actually had the second disc of Subsistence because I got the collection. So I never actually saw all the secret theaters. Sucks that they aren't in the HD version. That would have been superb.

The only thing I would say the game definitely did wrong was explaining the story of Adam and Eve but not Kuwabara. I know it made perfect sense for Japanese gamers, but the exact opposite needed to happen for the English translation and it didn't.

That was one of the things that really disappointed me with MGS4. What in the world happened to all the Codec?! One of the things I don't like about MGS4 is how there are way too many weapons. Most of which you have no reason to use. Another thing is that the "sneaking" areas are just... I don't know, something is missing about them. MGS3's areas were all great when it came to being stealthy. The only place that I really thought was great in MGS4 was Shadow Moses, and that's probably more because of the nostalgia factor. I would have preferred human enemies over synthetic. Which I think is another aspect of the game I didn't like as much, too many robots.
