Right. Forgot that Halloween Havoc '98 is remembered for more than one thing >_>.
Basically, they don't want the PPV to go over the time limit, since PPV providers only provide a certain amount of time for the show. If it goes over, then the feed gets cut off, and we are stuck not knowing what happened.
Though now that I think about it, didn't WCW actually broadcast the Goldberg/DDP match on ESPN or CNN right after the PPV was cut off? I seem to recall actually watching that match on that channel.
