t's kind of like if UNC picked up a loss in one of those early-season tournaments to, I don't know, Butler or something, but then they're still there with just the 1 loss halfway through the season. They're probably still going to be ranked ahead of Butler even if the Bulldogs are undefeated, because they're f***ing North Carolina and they're playing all of the best teams.
Except, in this example, CT is an undefeated Duke to SMB3's one loss North Carolina, that one loss acquired when Duke beat North Carolina head-to-head. Thus, your logic is flawed. Now if the #1 game was something out of left field without a huge pedigree, like Portal, then it would work as a Butler swap.
