As he walked by he thought he heard a gunshot. Witnesses said they thought it was a gun shot too. I find that extremely hard to believe. I don't care if Hafpor Bjornson, at his biggest and strongest, after stubbing his toe, winged that acorn like it was a fastball in game 7 of the World Series, there is no way it was as loud as a gunshot. Guns are really fucking loud, loud enough that you can permanently damage your hearing by firing just one or two rounds. There's no way anyone who's ever fired a gun (i.e., a cop) should be able to mistake that sound. --- The world may be going to Hell, but I am personally awash with convenience. ...
