It's a topic for the regulars on the contests board to discuss politics because they had always kept a single topic for politics so the board wouldn't get flooded with politics topics and because of the new rules they cannot even have that so they have one here. Also for any B8 regulars there are actually quite a few insightful people on CE as well and a topic like this is likely to attract them.
