To answer your question. My gf went through surgery to remove the skin and it was hell in a hand basket to recover from. In her case, not removing it was causing back and knee pain. If the skin is stretched too much, the folds remain. Since you lost weight recently and it hasn't been even a year. I would say keep going and decide later if for you. Some guys will not have a issue long term with it but it's too soon to tell. --- Above all things, never be afraid.
