Arale ranked in 12th place for most popular anime/manga character and Sembe was nowhere (in case it's not obvious, Dr. Slump's real name is Sembe Norimaki) https://sg.style.yahoo.com/top-10-shonen-jump-manga-characters-voted-japanese-netizens-103413533.html?guccounter=2 Arale is in third place and Sembe is nowhere in sight. Totally nonsensical to claim that he's more iconic or influential than Arale. Anyone who's actually seen or read Dr. Slump would know that Arale was the star. Asuka hasn't done more than Arale lol. She wasn't even the most popular female character of Evangelion; that was Rei, who still isn't on Arale's level.
