Without the success of Dr Slump, Dragon Ball would have never been a thing. And yes Toriyama also created Dr Slump if that wasn't clear lol

So um Super shows Arale came back after the earth was destroyed and brought back in DBZ. How? Android 16 shows that those without a soul, IE pure androids, cannot be restored with the Dragon Balls. How was she able to come back while 16 wasn't?

Creamy Mami is the inspiration for the magical girl genre.
Minky Momo continued to inspire the magical girl genre and is the origination of (Minky Momo spoilers) Truck-kun.
Asuka wasn't the first, but certainly cemented the notion of tsundere characters.
Studio Ghibli had numerous female characters who have influenced media even outside anime.
Motoko Kusanagi similarly impacted international media and cultural philosophy.
Sazae-san is THE longest running anime and influential on Japanese comedy and cultural tropes.
Bulma created the dragon radar and is the first major side character in Dragon Ball.

Side characters aren't important and she's not a major one.

Dr. Slump, the character, is probably more influential on WSJ and the series is similarly influential to Japanese comedy.

Sembe isn't more iconic or influential than Arale, who was the protagonist and mascot for the series.

Shonen only? Asuka has done far more to influence current anime and culture than Arale.

Arale ranked in 12th place for most popular anime/manga character and Sembe was nowhere (in case it's not obvious, Dr. Slump's real name is Sembe Norimaki)

Arale is in third place and Sembe is nowhere in sight. Totally nonsensical to claim that he's more iconic or influential than Arale. Anyone who's actually seen or read Dr. Slump would know that Arale was the star.

Asuka hasn't done more than Arale lol. She wasn't even the most popular female character of Evangelion; that was Rei, who still isn't on Arale's level.

This may be a shock for some but a female character doesn't need a lot of hentai to be iconic

It's actually Ring ni Kakero. This is the Manga that kept Shonen Jump afloat while everything else was losing money. It was also one of the biggest inspirations for DB in general after Journey to the West. Without Ring ni Kakero Toriyama wouldn't even have had a job working for SJ.

She is pretty much one of the Mt Rush ore heads of manga
