I don't think you realize this or not but cancer doesn't give a fuck what your skin tone is. While I went through chemo from 2018-2021 I saw people from a whole bunch of different races fighting against it. You have to want to go through that shit to do it. Some people don't want to do that, like my neighbor who as she puts it "to old to worry about it". If she or anyone else wants to give up on it, that's on them.

But to say it picks them more because color is bullshit

You're making broad generalizations about an entire race because of your neighbor. This is why studies are done, so we can get evidence-based answers on why certain demographics are more at risk than others.
