Being part of a gerrymandered district/state who gets fucked over as a result absolutely depresses enthusiasm for voting as a whole from those who would vote for the disenfranchised party.

I live in TX and absolutely the gerrymandering that happens here to suppress Democratic turnout has over time caused people to fully disengage from voting from statewide elections because they are downtrodden and forlorn over the whole process.
Thats fair, but that is not the gerrymandering in the election causing that in and of itself, its more human psychology. My point is in the actual election, gerrymandering didnt take one vote from Hillary because thats simply not how presidential elections work.
