Definitely, and I agree also with David1988s point that Trump will absolutely suffer no felony stigma as a result of his conviction. Thats not really my issue.

I dont at all mind people feeling relief, or even joy at the result of the trial. But a strong sentiment coming from the Democratic side for this election cycle is that you cant seriously vote for Trump, because he is a criminal. And a lot of the emphasis on Trump being titled convicted felon is related directly to that desire to score a political victory, for lack of a better term. If it was just about justice being served, Im all for it. He deserves worse. But it isnt just about that. And its the other stuff that its about that rubs me the wrong way, a little bit.

Let's not be too scrupulous here. Trump is a convicted felon, Trump being a felon can and absolutely should be used for maximum political advantage in an election where Trump's chance of winning is far too high.
