Im a low value man

When I was 29, I made 40k and I was happy to be off minimum wage. Age 30 I went up to 45k, then decided to use the job experience and go get hired elsewhere. I was wearing many hats at my old gig, as the lower wages workers do, so I gave myself a job title befitting of the actual work I was doing and got hired on at market value for said position.

Got a gig for 75k at age 31, that went up to 85k at age 33, and then got hired on at Market Value at another company for 120k at age 34, then got hired on at Market Value at another company for 175k at age 35, and 250k at age 36which I worked until age 37.

At age 38 with a solid savings I now run my own business and take consulting gigs.

The growth hack here is that companies typically have caps on how they issue raises. Like they arent allowed to give more than 5-10k a year, no matter what your job title is. A lot of companies actually prefer taking the 40k a year community manager, and training them to do the job of a 120k a year marketing manager, or BD manager (without the comission). Its like exploitive labor.

So you get the job experience, and if your smart officially secure the job title and then go get hired on at the fair market rate for said job title at another company.

Ive been doing that my entire career.
