Topic | What kind of job can I get that pays $30 an hour? |
NoxObscuras 12/24/24 2:36:18 PM #80: | Jagus posted... sure, so I search for data entry on indeed or what?Yeah, I don't always recommend government work because I have no idea how it works outside of California, but here the government jobs all have their own websites. For the city level it's lacity.gov, for the county level here it's lacounty.gov and for the state level jobs it's calcareers.ca.gov. So you won't often see the government jobs on sites like indeed. But the pay is surprisingly good once you get in. Like I'm working on moving into IT for the state level and the pay range for the entry level position is $27.64 to $48.95 an hour. And typically the qualifications for promotions are met just by working. The minimum qualifications for the next position up, IT Specialist, are just working as an IT Associate for 2 years. And Specialist has a pay range of $36.48 to $59.02. And since they're both state jobs, HR will make sure that your starting pay isn't lower than what you were making before promotion (unless you willingly apply for a job with a lower salary cap). So there's always a path upward, so long as there's openings. So you'd have to find what the sites are for your government jobs and see what their offerings are. --- Steam/Xbox/PSN = NoxObscuras https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/profiles/76561198372263559/ ...
