The dude told his boss due to persistent sexual harassment. He was the only member of the band not participating in the extracurricular activity, and the rest of the group didn't like that (presumably because it made him liable to snitch), so they kept badgering him to join in, with Hirano behaving particularly suggestively towards him. Eventually he got fed up and informed his superiors.

If you wouldn't a call a woman being pestered by a creep in the workplace a "jealous fuckwit" for contacting HR it's insane to attack this guy that way.
