One reason why more companies in Japan are turning to AI celebrities is because they're unlikely to get involved in scandals that a lot of actors and models are known for. The only upside I see here is that the paparazzi industry will dwindle as a result of the lack of scandals and dramas.

Drugs are just a bigger issue in Asian countries, in general. As for the boyfriend thing, that's just a side effect of the idol industry's nature. For both male & female, part of the idol industry is a sense of purity & the fact that they could potentially be your boy/girl friend; it's just more pronounced with girls & lonely guys. You can also see this same thing with streamers who have a primarily opposite gender audience, especially with modern Vtubing being derivative of idol culture.

The governemnts will provide a living income for people who lose their jobs this way and are unable to get new ones due to a lack of credentials or other vianle talents and experience right? All the blue collar workers will be able to quit their jobs and puruse personal goals like being a writer, artist, musician, sculptor, youtuber, indie game developer, etc that may very well never create income on theur own right? Right?

It all depends on what parts of Twitch you're on. Most of the channels I'm on his usage is heavily discouraged, if not outright banned.

I'll never forget how people bullied one of pro wrestling's brightest young talents (Hana Kimura) to suicide because of some shit on a reality TV show. Just vile, racist (she was part Indonesian), messages directing her to inflict the self-harm that she followed through with....because of an argument on a TV program.

There was also that brilliant voice actress and singer (Aya Hirano) whose career was absolutely ruined because some jealous fuckwit decided to reveal that she had had sex with her bandmates at various points, all of whom were perfectly unattached consenting adults.

Things like that lead me to believe that maybe the problem isn't the celebrities themselves but Japan's fucked up ass obsession with controlling the lives of others.
