I love King but his work is almost impossible to adapt, only Kubrick could pull it off and he had to take massive liberties, and I guess Carrie was passable too, but it got rid of the epistolary narrative which really made it shine Misery, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist are all great. As a King adaptation, Kubricks was pretty bad.
