One big thing to keep in mind is the effect aptitude has:

When it comes to Distance aptitude, A rank is standard no effect on stats, and every rank down is an additional 10% reduction to your speed. So B rank is a 10% reduction, C rank is 20%, D rank is 30%., etc. It gets really severe, so you pretty much always want to be A rank on what you are running

Style aptitude is similar but nerfs Wit instead of speed, and track surface type (turf or Dirt) affects acceleration. Here's a table for them

Some tips on your roster

Sprint:

• These are the same Uma's I use! So that's good
• Just gotta make sure Maruzensky has an A in Sprint, she's a Mile Queen with a default B in Sprint, but if you are short on sprinters you gotta make it work.... I see you have her with an S in Sprint so she'll be just fine

Mile:

• Grass Wonder and Vodka are both Late Surgers- but Grass Wonder can probably switch to Pace Chaser pretty easily
• Mayano Top Gun is a Front Runner which works well with those
• But what the heck is Mayano Top Gun doing here? She has a D rating in Mile by default - I see you've raised it to an A somehow so it'll work here, but you'll have to keep doing it if you raise her again

Medium

• Tachyon and Air Groove are both Pace, but Ryan is already Late, and making any of these Front Runner or End Closer seems not worth it. I'd say just accept that until you can find another horse to move in here as a front runner

Long

• The answer to your Medium team might be here in Daiwa Scarlet. She's VERY flexible in that she can play in Mile, Medium, or Long, and can be either a Front Runner or a Pace Chaser. I would build her out for wherever you need her and move her around
• Since Gold Ship is graciously playing the role of End Closer in Long, that means you are free to pick two of Front Runner, Pace Chaser, and Late Surger for the other two roles, so you could move pretty much anybody in here
• Fukukitaru is Late but also has a B in Pace so you could easily make her a Pace Chaser if the third person you want to bring in is also a Late Surger

Dirt

• Damn both Taiki Shuttle and El Condor Pasa, that's convenient.... I'm jealous, I've had to use inspiration to build other dirt racers but looks like you are doing just fine
• Taiki and El Condor Pasa are both set as Pace, ideally you figure out how to make Taiki a Front Runner. I see you've gotten her to a B there already. Or you could try and make Haru Urara an End Closer and then El Condor Pasa can take the Late Surger spot

Overall there's some mixing up you can do on styles, but I think the big change is swapping a front runner into Medium from somewhere else. I mentioned Daiwa Scarlet - but actually it might be better to move Mayano Top Gun from Mile to Medium (Top Gun is A in both Medium and Long by default but a miserable D in Mile). Your current Top Gun has an A in Mile so she's fine for now but in the long term, you might wanna just keep her in Medium/Long where she usually belongs. Daiwa Scarlet can make the huge jump from Long to Mile to replace Mayano as Front Runner - and then you could move Ryan or Tachyon to Long

If you have any other trainees unlocked I can comment if they'd fit better than anything you have here too. I see you do have Rice Shower which can fit into Medium or Long to bump someone worse off as a Pace Chaser, or even a Front Runner (default B) or Late Surger (default C) if you want. I see your current Rice Shower even has an S in Late Surger for the job already. Honestly Rice Shower could be your Medium Front Runner too, but her ult is good for breaking from the pack so she's not great as a Front Runner despite her default B on it.
