I could be wrong and this isn't where you're coming from, but the "I find this gross, and I look for justification against it after the fact of finding it gross" line of thinking is the very basis of dumb shit like hating gay people. And regardless of that, it's just bad logic.

If there's legitimate backing that "x content increases frequency of crimes against y demographic", sure, that's a different case entirely.
