It really depends on the location. I went to one near Dallas that had delicious food, but unfortunately the one in my town is one of the bad ones where the food is terrible; I once had a frickin' bone in the fish I ordered, and the biscuits are made of cardboard.

Maybe some places are better now, but when I was younger my family travelled a lot and forced me to eat at a lot of Cracker Barrels. I kept trying different food and it was all bad. Eventually I ordered grilled cheese because how can any restaurant fuck up grilled cheese? Cracker Barrel can. It was like Elmers glue between toast. I even tried it at different locations around the nation and it was still just as gross. Eventually I just stopped ordering food altogether when we went there. I think the only restaurant I hate about as much is Arbys.
