I also found lore/story spoiler a note where it says pharloom do trade with hallownest. It said some shipment to the "white wyrm's kingdom". Also the dialouge with widow and the weaver in shellwoods implies hornet's mother is from pharloom. Maybe she's like politically wed to the pale king.
which means the whole "hallownest is the only and final kingdom" thing is pure bs and propaganda. I think the higher beings giving bugs intelligence is also bullshit, because there are almost no signs of gods in pharloom. Their technology is far more advanced with better metallurgy and automatons running around, but there are no signs towards any magic research like in hallownest, where magic, souls and void are studied.
I think the "only and final kingdom" was intended to mean that all the others were wiped out by the infection. The guy who gives you the dream nail explains that it's their fault. The Pale King was able to stall the infection by creating vessels that would contain it periodically. It wasn't until the defeat of Radiance that they managed to end the infection permanently.
