There are plenty of possibilities in your case. Perhaps they didn't have enough medicine to fill you and they had to owe you some? Also, by law, schedule 2 substances (basically all narcotics save for tramadol) CANNOT be refilled. Meaning, you need a new prescription each time you want a refill.

Also, allow me to clarify something. You had a percocet prescription and they only gave you oxycodone alone? If so, that's an illegal substitution unless they called the doctor.

That's what I figured in terms of the amount.

No, I had a prescription for both. The percs and gabapentin I had filled at the Veterans Affairs pharmacy. The specific oxy prescription they didnt have and I had to go to several of the local pharmacies before I found someone who could fill it. That makes sense about the serious narcotics not allowing refills though, I hadnt thought of that.
