Maybe it will evolve in the way republics turned into democracies, but "every instance of it being implemented have led to horrible living conditions and piles of bodies" is a pretty compelling case for it just not working. Republics during "turn into democracies". The US is a republic. I mean how the concept of the republic led to the concept of the democracy. Not that republic governments literally turn into democracies. I know, I'm saying that's not what happened.
