I'm going to see it when it first comes out, but I am a huge fan of the made for TV movie since I saw it when I was a kid when it first came out and it scared the pants off of me, so I'll probably think it's "ok" but be disappointed That movie scared the fuck out of me as a kid. And I agree that the TV movie does a pretty serviceable job, particularly Tim Curry who is incredible in the role. I finally read the book It a couple summers back and I thought that the TV movie does a great job of interpreting the source material (notably in the book there is whole racism subplot with the bullies that doesn't really add anything to the story, the TV movie drops that entirely and it's better that way). It looks like this movie is mostly going to focus on the kids and not the adults. I'm curious to see how that works out, too. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
