When they showed Pennywise in those promos a couple months ago I thought the actor looked like he was trying too hard and the movie might not be good, but then you see the trailer and it looks like *gasp* a horror movie with production values. I really can't wait to see this. It's been so long since a major Hollywood studio made a horror movie like that.

I'm going to see it when it first comes out, but I am a huge fan of the made for TV movie since I saw it when I was a kid when it first came out and it scared the pants off of me, so I'll probably think it's "ok" but be disappointed

That movie scared the fuck out of me as a kid. And I agree that the TV movie does a pretty serviceable job, particularly Tim Curry who is incredible in the role. I finally read the book It a couple summers back and I thought that the TV movie does a great job of interpreting the source material (notably in the book there is whole racism subplot with the bullies that doesn't really add anything to the story, the TV movie drops that entirely and it's better that way).

It looks like this movie is mostly going to focus on the kids and not the adults. I'm curious to see how that works out, too.

Looks like your typical trash-tier horror movie. Pennywise looks like a joke, some of those scenes are too damn funny to be scared of(YOU'LL FLOAT TOO), lame jump-scares, etc.

While I feel that the tv miniseries was incredible, I'm also looking forward to the film although a few things look kinda goofy.
