I like running a lot, but I realized shield surfing is so much more. Horses don't help you climb much either nor can you bring them to peaks. But having 3 stamina helped me reach places or made me much more comfortable in climbing. Not to mention just being able to jump up 100 feet without a care for stamina is nice. I do have 2 pieces of climbing gear, but it doesn't feel like it helps with jump scaling a mountain. More time to slow down and get criticals, more gliding time, more swimming time, it's all more useful really. More useful than hearts at the start tbh. Granted I can't take on zebra lynels, yet, but I like thinking my link is super awesome and never gets hit too. But I've been taking on major test shrines and the hearts have been fine, not to mention the temporary heart system with this much exploration and cooking (and they fucking want you to cook, I've seen you eventide isle), you really should never want for more hearts over stamina. Temporary stamina is useful to get through certain parts, but is not as useful as temporary hearts. Real stamina>temp stamina>real hearts=temp hearts is how I prioritize it. And temporary hearts are basically real hearts anyway at least at the start is how I've been playing it. Cooking seems a bit tedious when you have a bunch so I just cook all the temp hearts. I'll start building hearts though once I find these freaking shrines, but I've been holding back from plot stuff and exploring much of the north. I think I've found 42 shrines in the southern half of the map. But that sonar for shrines is kind of crappy. I've usually seen them before it beeps and marked them with the exception to some being hidden under ice, but even that one was obvious and visible. It feels like I have to be pretty close by for it to sound and exploring wise I think I've taken a decent approach to finding them. I haven't even visited the central tower in hyrule yet, if you want to know the amount of progress I've made. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
