Depends on what you want to do, and how developed of a plan you have prior to entering.

Figure out what you want to get out of college. Then there's plenty of opportunities to get that and above. Students who enter college not really knowing what they really want to get out of it and largely don't have a plan are the ones, and sadly are the majority, that don't end up seeing the worth.

Tbh, I feel like the culture was too tolerant to people not knowing what they wanted out of it. I knew what I wanted to do in high school. No one I spoke to ever knew what they wanted to do.

The ambivalence continued onto undergrad. I think they just had this false notion that the answer would divine out of nowhere into their labs as opposed to being the result of reflection, thinking, and planning ahead.
