I'm looking for a duplex or a triplex so I can potentially house-hack (living in one unit, rent out the others) but unless you're prepared to drop serious money you'll need to settle for areas with a lot of crime. <_< From what I've been reading on city-data.com, having white skin and venturing into those areas is pretty much a no no because you'll be targeted. For example, I'm looking at a 2-unit in the Austin neighborhood but they're saying that people should avoid the whole neighborhood. *sigh* Fucking Chicago. --- These people are literally ignorant of the law.
